RCS held a small farewell event for Tony who has worked for 20 years in RCS. He has safely reached Yangon, Myanmar on 12 September 2020. He was photographed in the Myanmar newspaper (circled) as he was waiting for his turn at the immigration counter at the Yangon airport. We would like to thank all Members and Staff who gave gifts to Tony.
A resolution to amend Rule 9 (c) of the Constitution was approved at the 58th AGM held on 23 August 2020. The amendments have been submitted to the ROS for consideration and approval. Amendments can only be enforced after getting approval from the ROS.
Amended Rule 9 (c) as follows
The annual subscription for Fellows and other members shall be payable in advance on 1st January each year:-
(i) Provisional Member RM720.00 p.a.
(ii) Resident Fellow RM720.00 p.a.
(iii) Non-Resident Fellow RM480.00 p.a.
(iv) Associate Member RM720.00 p.a.
(v) Affiliate Member RM720.00 p.a.
(vi) Absent Member RM120.00 p.a.
(vii) Corporate Member RM3,000.00 p.a.
The Council shall have the discretion to determine the rates of annual subscription from time to time as may be deemed fit by the operating expenses of the Society and / or the Estimates of Income and Expenditure thereof.
The amendments which were passed at the 57th AGM were approved by the ROS on 22 November 2019. These amendments were implemented on 01 January 2020.
However, in an attempt to mitigate the problems and inconveniences faced by Members during this RMCO period, the Council has decided that the minimum spending charge for the 1st Quarter (Jan to Mar 2020) will be consolidated with the minimum spending charges for the 2nd Quarter, 3rd Quarter and the 4th Quarter (April to December 2020). Members are now allowed to spend Quarter 1 to Quarter 4 (Jan – Dec) @ RM360.00 by 31 December 2020.
Penalties charged for the non-compliance of the minimum spending previously will be reversed into F&B account.
As per Rule 7(c)(i) of the Rules of the Royal Commonwealth Society, we would like to invite Fellows of the Society to volunteer and serve on the Disciplinary Board. Your participation to serve in this capacity is greatly anticipated and appreciated.
We wish to advise ALL to use MySejahtera application before entering the Club premises. The QR code is available at the entrance of the Club.
Temperature checks must be done using the device on Forehead and NOT the hand or wrists as per the Health Ministry’s directives.
Anyone with Quarantine Tags will strictly NOT be allowed entry into the Club premises.
Should any Member or guest fail to do so, the Council will proceed with disciplinary action.
ALL persons entering the Club premises MUST WEAR FACE MASK.
Anyone who refuses to wear face mask will be prohibited from entering the Club.

Bistro is open for Lunch at 12pm to 2.30pm and then for dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.
KARAOKE Operation hours in Tudor Bar is from Sundays to Thursdays from 6pm to 11.30pm.
Strictly NO Karaoke on Fridays & Saturdays.

Bookings of the accommodation rooms provided by the Society is to be used for the sole purpose of lodging only. No unlawful or immoral activities should be carried out while occupying such rooms. Room guests found to have abused this privilege shall be ordered to quit the room immediately and the booking Member shall be disciplined in accordance with the Rules of the Society.
Members are reminded that, persons who have been expelled, are under suspension and declared persona non grata are not allowed into the premises of Royal Commonwealth Society of Malaysia. They are also not allowed to be invited as guests and signed in by members.
Please note that facilities provided in the Tudor Bar / Sports Bar is exclusively for the use of RCS Fellows, Members of Reciprocal Clubs and Affiliated Room Guests only. However, the Council has allowed the Youth Members to use these facilities but they are not allowed to sign in their guests.
Please be informed that ALL Youth Members must participate in at least 3 CSR Programmes yearly organised by the Club or the RCS Youth Section. Failure to do so will lead to the termination of their Youth Membership.
